Image#1-Me trying to act like I am climbing up a mountain-actually there was a rope there to hang onto because this was a slippier trail!
Image#2-Cameron is so sick of getting his picture taken so when I told him to turn around for a picture, he hid his face right behind this fallen tree-I guess I asked at the wrong time...
This was the Nu'uanu Flats trail which led into the Paoua Flats trail which is right off of the Judd Memorial and Jackass Ginger Pool trail (which we never did make it to on this particular day.) The trail starts off of Nu'uanu-Pali Drive just out of Honolulu on the Pali Highway. Cameron loves to take unplanned side trails and they always turn out to be marvelous adventures. We went up the mountain on a swithchback trail and saw some dense rainforest and lovely vistas. Pine cone trees, bamboo, steep hillsides, Honolulu, the valley that Pali Highway goes through.
