This trail wasn't in my hiking book, but Cameron spotted people walking along the ridges in this area and I asked at work and my co-workers let me know how to get to the trailhead which right next to the Lanakai Golf Course. These are pictures of Kailua and the Lanakai neighborhood and beach. We went to the beach afterward and actually ran into a fellow traveling nurse-first time I ran into anybody I knew on the entire trip to O'ahu. The beach has very fine sand and it was a windy day-the sand blew into every crevice imagineable on our bodies, so that was a short lived tanning session.
