A little bit of shopping and one last lunch out with our boys before they went home to Henderson at the Deschutes Brewery. Yummy food, great company. They boys are so nice at restaurants these days, must be that reverence training they get in church! Then they were off to the airport in Redmond, always so hard to say good bye...

Mirror Pond on the Deschutes River in downtown Bend
High Desert Museum
Peekaboo!
Is archeology in their future?
Eagle Noah
Yikes, Ike found a rattler!
This museum highlights the natural and cultural history and is just south of Bend. Noah and Isaac enjoyed the morning seeing the animals-alive and pretend and then we enjoyed a picnic lunch afterwards before going to the Lava Tube River Cave in the Newberry National Volcanic Monument. Sam hasn't been back to his birth state in 28 years! I think he liked it.

Fun, Fun, Fun
Aren't they cute in their crocs and panties?
When we weren't on the go, there was time for naps and exploring right around the cabin. We spotted deer, chipmunks, and squirrels. Did you know that chipmunks have stripes on their faces and squirrels don't? That is how you tell the difference. Sam and I learned that at the museum and then we spotted several squirrels and not too many chipmunks after that.

Enjoying Life
Life is good here in Bend, lots of fun community activities and this relaxing view of the Deschutes River off of our back porch. Margaret and Paul thought they just might skip the wedding and spend their vacation here in Bend, but their girls were a huge pull for them in a northerly direction. We had a great time with them in the short amount of time they were here. Thanks for visiting!
