Cameron and I took a fun hike around Paulina Lake. It is on the Southern edge of Newberry Volcanic National Monument. First, we went up to Paulina Peak to take a look at the lake from up high and we were able to see East Lake, also. They are in an old volcano and used to be one big lake, you can see the old obsidian flow from the volcano, too. The power of that volcano must have been awesome to see. There was a lot of volcanic activity in this area of Oregon many, many years ago.
