Carpenteria State Beach

It’s been a long while since I’ve posted and we’ve been on sooo many adventures. I’m going to start fresh with our latest fun camping trip and try to keep up from now on.

We arrived at Carpenteria State Beach after an easy 6 hour drive from Henderson. We stopped at McDonald’s in Barstow for a sausage egg McMuffin-yum! We went straight over the berm to see the Pacific Ocean which I haven’t seen for 2 years!

The beach and ocean are soothing to my soul and we could hear the surf all night long. We managed to get ourselves up out of our comfy recliners in our fifth wheel and had campfires on 2 different nights.

We took our new rad e-bikes down to Rincon Beach and then up to State Street in Santa Barbara. What a great surprise all these bike paths and lanes were. State Street is awesome with no vehicles except for bikes allowed. Restaurants and shops galore to explore. We had a nice picnic near the theatre.

I loved exploring the little town of Carpenteria from my bike. So much easier to get a real feel for a town from close up.  🚲 Flying down the beach along the 101 with the vast ocean just a beach away was such a thrill. Close by are seal beach and tar pits to explore, gorgeous wild flowers were everywhere.
