More North Shore...

I am posting these pics for our grandkids so they can see Honey and Grandma up close-I don't want Ikey and Noah to forget us! We love the clouds here, they move around constantly, the sun shines and then you are cooled by the shade from the clouds. Cameron caught me looking for shells in this picture. We sent the sea shells to Noah and Ikey.

Shave Ice

Here I am eating, again! The shave ice is to die for in Hale'iwa at Matsumoto's Grocery Store. It isn't really a grocery store at all, maybe a convenience store at best, but mostly a place that sells great shave ice. They put a scoop of ice cream in the bottom. I got a large because I thought Cameron would want to share, but he took one bite and it was too sweet for him, so I ate the whole thing by myself! So delicious, it made me sick to my stomach. Condensed milk on the top is another way to add calories-I didn't go there...

Turtles

We had shishkabobs for lunch, (above), and here is Cameron snorkeling with the turtles, (below.)

We have gone to Hale'iwa Alii Beach three times now-can't get enough of those turtles! There were at least a dozen or even more than that swimming in this beach area. There was also a mom and a baby on the beach, (or at least it looked like that-but since they lay eggs, maybe not!)along with three other turtles who we watched go in and out of the water. Cameron went snorkeling and got some of these awesome underwater pictures and we had shishkabobs for lunch. Hale'iwa is a great place for finding shells and sea glass.

Breakfast

This little restaurant is on Kuhio, the street behind Kalakaua. Breakfast was only $2.49!

Cactus Garden

There is a beautiful Cactus Garden at the Kapiolani Community College that we go to on Saturday mornings that has a great farmer's market.

More Fireworks

We walked to the Hilton Hawaiin Lagoon and watched the fireworks up close on the 15th and I am just now getting to this posting! I am getting way behind! I am having so much fun, there isn't time for computer work but I keep track in my Journal in case I forget.
