Pilot Butte

These are pictures from the top of Pilot Butte, which is in the middle of Bend. It is fun to go up and have a good look at Bend and to be be able to see the whole town sprawling out around you.

Concerts by the River

One of my favorite memories of Bend will be The fun outdoor concerts we got to hear just sitting by the Deschutes River next to the Old Mill District, having a picnic and people watching!

St. Charles Hospital

Here are a few of my new friends. They are a great bunch of people and wonderful nurses, too. I think I'll take them home with me to St. Rose! I'm going to miss them much.

Badlands

This hike -east of Bend is similiar to the areas where Cameron goes hunting in northern Nevada, definitely high desert, very quiet-we didn't see a soul out there, it was a sunny day and a pleasant hike. Lots of evidence of volcanic activity-no matter where you go in Central Oregon.

Shevlin Park

Shevlin Park is on the west side of Bend and a wonderful walk on a trail through a wonderful park. Beautiful trees and a peaceful creek. Just a few other walkers and runners on this peaceful trail right in Bend!
