More on Waikiki

We have spent alot of time on the Beach. Our favorite time to got to the beach is in the evening to watch people-we are big time people watchers! Also, BBQing at the Fort DeRussy Park is great fun, shish kabobs are super easy for us. I love watching the hula shows, and they sell flower leis near Hilton Hawaiin Village. They smell so beautiful! And of course the sunsets are perfect.

Cave

A young lady sang a Hawaiin love song in this cave while we were there on the southwest coast of O'aho, there was also a local there that told us that the Hawaiins left a gift there for their gods, before they could enter the cave.

SHARKS!

More at Ko'olina, from the aquariums at the Marriot.

Hanauma Bay for the 3rd time...

We love Hanauma Bay, it is so beautiful and the snorkeling is great there. There is an entrance fee, but it is minimal and worth it. These pictures were taken by Cameron, I can't tell a lie, it took my 3rd trip there to finally go snorkeling. It took alot of encouragement from Cameron and a warm sunny day. It is a little windier and cooler on the windward (Eastern) side of the Island. A fellow nurse let me borrow her wet suit, but I haven't had to use it yet, because the weather has improved alot since we first got here. It was always nice, but is just a little warmer right now. We haven't had rain in a few days. The North Shore waves have calmed down quite a bit, too. We are hoping for another great wave day-it was astounding to see those big waves.

It is two days later now and the waves are supposed to be big on the north shore today. (3-12-08) We still have sooo much to do and sooo little time!

My posts are way behind because we use wireless internet. Next travel destination we will get high speed, we are too spoiled-I want a tivo, too! I am totally missing American Idol and Ellen!

Pan Pacific Soccer Championships

We went to the Pan Pacific Soccer Championships on February 23rd. It was so fun, of course the best part was seeing David Beckham. He assisted on both of their points-and he really is a great soccer player-not just an adorable rock star. He did all their free kicks, corner kicks, etc. He plays mid-field. The same position that CJ played in High School. It was almost like watching our own kids-Anya, CJ and Garon when they were young. We had a great time. I caught this great picture of the sun going down beyond the stadium during the game. At the end of the game, a group of fans were yelling and screaming and all of the sudden, David took off his jersey! That was so funny-I guess he is a rock star after all!
